Hong Kong, 20 November 2013 – Cafe Roma is celebrating the holidays with special Christmas and New Year’s Eve menus specially created by Executive Chef Jaakko Sorsa. With the surroundings of festive excitement, Park Island residents and visitors alike are invited to indulge from a variety of merry offerings for the ultimate quality time with loved ones under the romantic night view of Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach with the twinkling span of lights emanating from Tsing Ma Bridge in the background.
For the ultimate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebration, Chef Jaakko has prepared a festive 3-course dinner menu inspired by the traditional spread of turkey, ham, and other holiday treats. The menu starts with a choice of Smooth Celeriac Soup served with crushed gingerbread or Smoked Turkey Salad with toasted walnuts, and cranberry dressing. For the main course, guests can select between the Tarragon-Poached Salmon and Roasted Shrimp served with hollandaise sauce, Gratinated Portobello Mushroom stuffed with truffle-cream cheese and roasted tomato sauce, or Gratinated Smoked Ham with gravy for an authentic taste of Christmas followed by the Ginger-Chocolate Cheesecake topped with whipped amaretto cream to curb any sweet tooth.
As 2013 draws to a close, Cafe Roma’s New Year’s Eve menu will serve up the ultimate finale for the year with a backdrop to die for. Starting off with the Smoked Prawn Cocktail and Roasted Chestnut Soup, the final feast of the year continues into the main course with a choice of Hazelnut Gratinated Sea Bass Fillet served with porcini mushroom risotto, Duck Leg Confit and truffle mashed potatoes in red wine sauce, or Porcini Mushroom Risotto topped with glazed vegetables and feta cheese followed by the decadent Dark and White Chocolate Mousse complemented with strawberries marinated in champagne for the perfect end to the year.

Indulge in Ghoulish Halloween Delight at Cafe Roma
Hong Kong, 3 October 2013 – GR8 Leisure Concept, the innovative hospitality group based in Hong Kong, is putting on the ultimate Halloween celebration across its bars and restaurants with a number of defrightful holiday menus, hair-raising cocktail creations, and spooktacular events.
To celebrate Halloween, Cafe Roma has specially created a themed 3-course dinner menu available from 31 October to 3 November 2013 for HK$328, featuring festive dishes such as Grilled Pumpkin and Mozzarella Salad and Pumpkin Seed-Crusted Hot-Smoked Salmon Fillet. Chef Jaakko Sorsa has specially created a frightening but tasty Eyeballs in Blood Soup, a vanilla panna cotta dessert served with raspberries and mixed berry sauce. Grown ups can celebrate the occasion with Nightmare on Elm Street, a blood-curdling alcoholic cocktail created with rum, coconut milk, pineapple juice, fresh strawberries and blueberries.
The restaurant is also throwing a free-for-all Halloween party on Saturday 2 November 2013 from 12noon where guests of all ages will enjoy traditional holiday games and activities, including trick-or-treating, a ghost piñata, and pumpkin carving contest for the chance to win a HK$400 dining voucher. Adults and kids alike are encouraged to show up in their favourite Halloween costumes.

Celebrate the End of Summer with a Tropical Beach Party at Cafe Roma
Hong Kong, 9 August 2013 – Beat the end-of-summer blues and send off the summer holiday with a fun-filled, tropical-themed beach party at Cafe Roma on Saturday, 31 August. Open to all, the event takes place from 1pm until midnight and will feature family-friendly activities as well as a special summer grilled menu and refreshing cocktails.
Throughout the day, adults and children alike will be able to enjoy a wide variety of games and activities on Ma Wan Tung Wan Beach, including giant Jenga, slacklining, and sand castle building, to name a few. Kids can also put their creativity skills to the test making their own leis to get into the tropical spirit of the party.
A summer party just isn’t complete without some funky, colourful costumes and tacky beachwear, and Cafe Roma is hosting a “Best Tropical Costume Contest” to encourage party guests to dress up. Eligible contestants should be at the restaurant between 5pm and 7pm, where they will then be photographed and voted for by fellow partygoers. The winner with the most votes will be announced on Monday 9 September on the Cafe Roma Facebook page and he/she will take home a Cafe Roma dining voucher valued at HK$400!
Executive Chef Jaakko Sorsa has specially created a South American-inspired menu for the one-day fiesta featuring delectable eats with an island twist, including Blackened Chicken Salad with coconut shavings and spicy ranch dressing, Grilled Chimichurri Rib-Eye Steak served with a selection of grilled vegetables, and Pumpkin Seed Crusted Sea Bass Fillet. Vegetarians can opt for the BBQ Vegetable Platter for a hearty, smoky-sweet treat. Guests are advised to leave room for the fresh-tasting, fruit desserts on offer, such as the Grilled Pineapple Flambéed with Dark Rum and Caramel Pudding ‘Dulce de Leche’ with marinated strawberries. All items are available for off the special one-day à la carte menu or as part of the 3-course option for a total of HK$328 plus 10% service charge.
